Many tales have been told about the most famous brasilian archipel, but you'll be even more impressed if you travel there yourself and are totally taken by its beauty.The Fernando de Noronha Marina National Park consists of various islands and is located 540 km from Recife, the capital of the Federal State of Pernambuco. People call it one of the world's most extraordinary treasures, from a cultural as well as ecological point of view. All in all there are 21 islands ( volcano origin) with dreamlike beaches. Due to the great distance to the mainland, Fernando de Noronha's waters are clean and clear,there's no pollution at all. Consequently the area is an "El dorado" for everyone who is into diving and snorkelling. Going for a swim in the natural rock-pools, you'll come across with Coral, lobsters, mushrooms, turtles and various colourful species of fish. Talking about the regional fauna, one should emphasize the "golfinhos rotadores", a in parts ausgestorben and elsewhere very rare species of dolphins, which found refuge at Fernando de Noronha. They enchant visitors with splendid tricks, they are great acrobats.
